About the 2025 ChallengeHer Overnight Sportive
ChallengeHer 2025 is perhaps our most daring and challenging sportive yet.
Not only are we challenging you to complete a demanding overnight cycle, but we’re asking you to do so during the longest day of the year: the Summer Solstice. To that end, we will be visiting the Hill of Tara where the high kings of Ireland celebrated the Solstice in bygone days and enjoying the reward at Cabra Community Sport’s Centre, Dublin at the end.
We invite all genders to join us for the challenge of improving your fitness and having a sense of achievement.
ChallengeHer is independently organised and supports a nominated charity each year. This year our nominated charity is the well-deserving Cycle Against Suicide , who rely heavily on public donations to support their worthy cause. This National Charity’s main goals are the prevention of suicide and support for those affected by it, as well as the promotion of mental health as a critical part of overall wellness.
We would also invite you to visit The Ann McGeeney Trust Fund. Ann McGeeney inspired the creation of the ChallengeHer sportive.
Register now for a fun night of exercise, achievement, camaraderie and reward. Your healthier lifestyle starts here.

Ann lived life to the full. She was devoted to her family, her career and her sports interests. In her ‘Peace and Reconciliation’ work, she was passionate about bringing local communities together, particularly in the border areas where this Sportive is taking place.
She loved adventurous sports such as, mountaineering, rock climbing, canoeing, running, swimming and triathlons. During her final years she enjoyed biking, particularly mountain-biking. Ann was very enthusiastic, promoting sport particularly to women and believed in the physical and mental benefits of exercise. She always relished a challenge.
